DJ Tiesto – The King of Electronic Dance

Tijs Michiel Verwest, this name ring very few bells but everyone knows DJ Tiesto. Born in the year 1969, he began his career in the year 1997, when he co-founded the label Black Hole Recordings with Arny Bink. This company released Magik and In Search of Sunrise CD series. Reijers is credited as producer, writer, composer, or arranger on many of Tiesto's releases. Tiesto released his first solo album in the year 2001, In My Memory which gave him multiple. In the years 1999 and 2000, he worked with Ferry Corsten and created Gouryella.

Tiesto ranked in the #1 poll position 3 consecutive times in the DJ Magazine Top 100 Popularity Poll from 2002 to 2004. He launched his second studio album, Just Be in the year 2004, same year he became the first DJ ever to play live on the stage of Olympic. The music he created for the Athens Olympics later used in the Parade of the Athletes. 2007 also was an important year in his life, he launched his radio show Tiesto’s Club Life on Radio 538 in the Netherlands and later released his album Elements of Life. The album became an instant hit and reached the #1 spot in the "Billboard Top Electronic Albums." He also received a Grammy award nomination for this album. He released his fourth studio album Kaleidoscope in October 2009.
